UCL Russian Society Cinema Club presents:

A special screening of the film “Another Year” / Skype Q&A with the director Oksana Bychkova and script-writer, Lyubov Mulmenko.

“Another Year” is a story about love, based upon the play “Don’t Part With Those You Love” by Alexander Volodin. Director, Oksana Bychkova (Piter FM, 1+1) has changed the location to modern Moscow and scriptwriter, Lyubov Mulmenko has created an honest and accurate version of the modern characters of the play. The Hollywood Reporter has called this film “A hipster version of a Soviet classic” and whether that is so or not, it has successfully presented and highlighted the distinctive marks of Russian modern time, rendering it one of the most sincere films yet about those in their mid-20s.

Leading roles: Nadya Lumpova, Aleksei Filomonov

"Another Year" has received numerous awards at various film festivals, including The Kinotavr Film Festival, MIFF, Rotterdam International Film Festival and was presented in a special programme at the London Film Festival.

"Еще один год" это история о любви, снятая по мотивам знакомой всем с детства повести Александра Володина "С любимыми не расставайтесь".
Режиссер Оксана Бычкова (Питер FM, 1+1) перенесла место действия в современную Москву, а сценарист Любовь Мульменко, написала честные и точные диалоги современных героев.
Журнал The Hollywood reporter называет этот фильм "Хипстерской версией советской классики", так это или нет, но удачно замечая и подчеркивая современные приметы времени, "Еще один год" - один из самых искренних и светлых фильмов о тех кому сейчас 25.
В главных ролях: Надежда Лумпова (дебют) и Алексей Филимонов ("Кислород", "Жить", "14+").
Фильм "Еще один год" получил множество наград на различных кинофестивалях, включая: Кинотавр, ММКФ, International Film Festival Rotterdam и был представлен в специальном конкурсе London Film Festival.
