Soldering is at the core of every electronics project. In this class we will learn how to solder a point-to-point LED flasher. Instructor Gino Barzizza will show you tips and tricks to get you started on your journey into DIY electronics. Class includes a brief intro to electrical theory, and hands-on building of a LED flasher circuit using capacitors, resistors, integrated circuits (IC), switches, LEDs and batteries. Finally, you will modify a toy to act as an enclosure for your circuit.
In the world of DIY electronics there is always something more to learn. This class is first in a series in which participants will build on their skills. Future classes will include various DIY synthesizer and circuit bending projects including an Atari Punk Console and Baby 8 analog sequencer.
