Party: Home - Jokes Please!

Jokes Please! Is an award-winning stand-up comedy show that happens every Thursday at LMG, a place that can feel like home.
Home is a very important concept to people. Look at the turtle, homes are so important to them they keep theirs on their back. Oh, you think a turtle isn’t a non-human person? Okay, then take a more human example: the snail. Without a shell (their home) you are a lowly slug but with a shell you are the invincible, shiny darling of many a leafy and boggy area.
Some people say home is where the heart is. But the heart is in the mediastinum which is an undelineated region in the thoracic cavity, and that doesn’t sound right.
Some people say home is in your butt (those people are 13-year-olds or me). That also doesn’t sound right, no matter how funny I think it is.
But truly we have a housing crisis in this city. One indicator is that chicken coop-esque houses are being sold for millions (the one in the event photo went for 2.4 million). This week there will be a crazy true story and some real zingsy jokes towards the people that make it hard for some of us to live in this very pleasant city.
