This workshop is aimed at improver to intermediate level dancers. We will build upon your knowledge of Bachata moves, body movement and styling, introducing more complex turn patterns, dips and tricks. Spaces are limited and pre-booking is essential to try and ensure we have an equal number of leaders and followers. Individuals are welcome as we will be rotating the class.

TIMES:
- Workshop: 13:00 till 15:00 pm
- Social dancing: 15:00 till 16:00 pm

ABOUT IVAN & FREDDIE:
Founder and co-artisitc director of Tenfoot contemporary dance company, Freddie Garland has been submerged in dance since the age of 3 studying various genres from Ballet & Tap to contemporary dance. The beautiful Latino and Angolan forms Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba became a major part of her interest training and passion. Currently working in collaboration on several pieces of choreography across different dance genres with different groups and partnerships. Her unique individual style arises from her years of dance training and elements from different genres shine through. Fred loves to impart knowledge acquired over the years during her regular weekly classes and tuitions, as well as monthly workshops and guest teaching appearances/ performances at various prestigious events/ congresses and festivals around the UK and abroad. 2016 saw the release of 'Yira' and 'The Way We Were', stage management at Glastonbury and international music video. 2017 although only just beginning is set for touring 'The Way We Were' another large scale performance project, some very exciting company collaborations and further festival works. Fred previously performed in Vilmore James 'Flight', Hull's Freedom Festival over several years with different commissions and companies, works as part of a team producing large scale dance festivals, and collaborates with professional dancers on the international stage. A lively and enjoyable reputation precedes her and her classes are a joy to partake in.

Iván Rodrigo Garcia from Mexico is highly qualified and experienced Latin dance teacher. Teaching in the UK and abroad for over 14 years working alongside some of the most globally renowned professionals in the dance industry. He is a UKA ( The United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing) qualified and insured instructor, qualified Zumba instructor and the director of Salsa Beat LTD. Along with Ivan's extensive practical dance background, he also holds an academic degree in Arts Management and is also a registered ACLS community dance adult education tutor. An experienced teacher, performer and organiser working with all areas of the community. His enthusiasm and energy translate on the dance floor and he translates his great energy to all he meets!
