Bondax aka duo Adam Kaye and George Townsend, have an evocative sound incorporates elements of post-dubstep, R&B and garage, drifting through sonic landscapes. First gaining prominence through the local BBC, the duo’s music was soon receiving BBC Radio 1 airtime, from the likes of Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw. In 2012, the boys started their own label – Just Us Recordings – and in 2013 played a string of festivals.
Dazed and Confused described them as, “the aural equivalent of sipping an ice-cold Pimms on the balcony of your council estate flat.” Not too shabby for a couple of young lads from Lancashire.
