Party: May Bank Holiday Annual Charity Rugby Match

Club Secretary XV vs Club Captain XV - all welcome to play and watch!

It’s that time of year again where we watch some ‘entertaining’ rugby, sip a beer (or soft drink) and laugh at past, present and random players running at each other!

You do not need an invite to come and play. As with the Boxing Day game just rock up with boots, shorts, socks and uncomfortable pants and tell us how many minutes you would like to play. If you haven’t played for years don’t worry! It’s all mixed ability and played within the spirit of the game. For those that can’t get tackled because they are old, made of glass or allergic to men we have bright bibs for you to wear (you won’t be a target at all).

Players - Kick off is 12pm, please get there for 11am. £5 match fee where all proceeds go towards prostate cancer research.

Spectators - the bar will be open and the bbq cranked up. Children are very welcome where they will find ample space to run around. Bring balls, toys, annoying things or anything relatively safe that doesn’t cause a mess to entertain them.

Man of the match and numpty of the day prize awards afterwards are always funny. The PA will be warmed up ready to point out funny things throughout the game.

After a few beers we will head to the Racehorse (our usual tradition) to carry on the days festivities!
