Winners of the 2017 JUNO for Instrumental Album of Year, the aim of the Fretlessis to expand the rhythmic, harmonic, melodic, and arrangement style of folk genres using only string instruments. Trent Freeman, Karrnnel, Ben Plotnick, and Eric Wright transform traditional fiddle tunes and folk melodies into intricate, beautiful, and high-energy arrangements.
