Patrick Walker's former band, Warning, released 2006 with “Watching from a Distance“ one of the essential doom metal records you need to have listened to, what created high expectations for any subsequent project – and 40 Watt Sun doesn't disappoint. Fronted by Walker and featuring William Spong on bass and former Warning drummer Christian Leitch, 40 Watt Sun finds themselves somewhere between love, desire, the wish for deliverance, loneliness, and regret.

► The Wounded Kings (UK) - doom metal

After four full-lengths the occult doom metal sensation The Wounded Kings now returns to Europe to present and promote their fifth album “Visions in Bone” which will be released in April 2016. Although the band’s style changed over the years due to several line-up changes you find in the work of The Wounded Kings an impressive piece of traditional doom metal with outstanding psychedelic and occult rock influences you can’t really compare to any other band. Especially old fans can be excited about this upcoming tour as after five years now finally the old vocalist George Birch is back.

► Caronte (IT) - stoner/doom

Caronte is one of the most interesting doom bands from Italy and led by Dorian Bone who some people might know from the Italian black metal band Whiskey Ritual. The crushing intensity of Caronte‘s music is pretty obvious right from the start and with their heavy but also groovy sound and the exceptional voice of Dorian Bone they remind pretty much on the well-known Electric Wizard, but without copying them.

► Witchfucker (GER) - stoner/doom/black metal

Witchfucker have a willful sound somewhere between Black Metal, Doom Metal and Psychedelic Rock and they’re not afraid to arrange all these influences quite uncompromisingly. After their first EP „Üntrve Bläck Metäl“ from 2014 now follows their first full-length, which they will present us at their first gig in Freiburg.
