The MJR Group are incredibly pleased to announce the first ever Bristol Ska and Mod festival featuring Bruce Foxton’s From the Jam, BAD MANNERS, Secret Affair and 2Rude to take place on bank holiday Sunday 5th April at Motion and The Marble Factory, Bristol!
The firsts headliner announced for the inaugural festival are Bruce Foxton's From The Jam, who will be performing a career spanning set of hits from the legendary British band The Jam. 'Town called malice' 'Eton Rifles' 'Going Underground' 'That's entertainment' 'In The City' and dozens more.. Hear that songs that defined a generation live! They are joined on the bill by 2Rude, one of the best live ska bands in the UK right now to complete our first batch of announced bands.
The second headliner is none other than BAD MANNERS!.
This party-loving lot return for what promises to be an unforgettable night of energetic ska-fuelled skullduggery!
Fronted, as always, by the infamous Buster Bloodvessel, whose manic exploits got them banned from Top of the Pops, they are also joined by partner-in-crime Max Splodge.
True veterans of the scene, Bad Manners have spent 111 weeks in the UK singles chart and produced 3 silver albums. Peers to the likes of Madness and The Specials, they have long since cemented themselves as one of the nation’s favourite 2 Tone Ska bands.
With a numerous and ever-changing line-up fronted, they have delivered such defining hits as My Girl Lollipop, Lip Up Fatty, Can Can, Lorraine, Just A Feeling and Special Brew.
Motion and The Marble Factory are set within a converted skate park of venues just a few minutes walk from Temple Meads train Station. Within the festival site we'll have outside bars, hot and cold food available all day, real ale, cider and guest beers and spacious smoking areas and a Mod Market of stalls in addition to two stages of great live music and entertainment. Once you're in you're in and your wristband will give you access to the whole site.
Do not miss your chance to be part this nostalgic evening of ska vibes from Bad Manners, alongside the classic mod hits of The Jam from Bruce Foxton and From the Jam!
