Inspired by the dirty sounds of the New York cave music scene and New Orleans street funk, these guys fill more acoustic space than you ever thought could be possible. Fusing dance music and acoustic jazz they create the loudest, boldest and most original sound like you’ve ever heard.

The Bare Souls

Come and count yourself among the first to experience The Bare Souls. Bringing you blues based rock with strong undercurrents of soul and funk this (at latest count) 7-piece outfit are looking set to hit Bristol like a Himalayan dust storm. Front-woman and songwriter Florence Pardoe cut her teeth on the Bristol scene as a solo artist. Returning to the city after two years honing her craft in Australia she has recruited a fine assembly of musicians, combining young talent emerging from BIMM with seasoned players from some of Bristol established bands and infamous jam nights. Florence leads with powerful vocals, reminiscent of the '70s soul greats, and heartfelt lyrics with a refreshingly positive message. From the thumping opener of This City, through the effortlessly lovely Can't Sing The Blues, to the funk-laden, boogie-inducing Jump On It (not to mention a killer Led Zeppelin cover) theirs is a performance not to be missed.
