A Mini Gnawa Festival in East London! Simo Lagnawi The UK's leading Guembri player and Gnawa Master will lead you on a spiritual journey into the World of Gnawa culture, from Traditional through fusions of different styles.

Gnawa Blues All Stars:
Since his arrival in the UK in 2008 the charismatic creator and leader of Gnawa Blues All Stars, Simo, has performed at a host of festivals including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Latitude and Boom Town.
Playing traditional Gnawa (sacred trance music from Morocco) and Gnawa fusion with his bands Electric Jalaba, Gnawa Griot, and Gnawa Blues Allstars, Simo continuously pushes new boundaries fusing Gnawa with music from countries such as Gambia, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Guinea, Mali, India, Japan, Venezuela and the Caribbean.
Zimbaremabwe Mbira Vibes:
Zimbaremabwe, led by Linos Wengara is a live band playing Zimbabwean traditional music, as well as Mbira Reggae, an original style fusing the mbira instrument with reggae.
Now based in Brighton they've played everywhere from WOMAD to Glastonbury, sharing their upbeat Zimbabwean music and attitude with the world!
Ruinz Ason:
When Asked to describe his musical style, London based artist Ruinz recites “A vibration through the medium of sound waves, or whatever that means”....
Born into a musical family, he attributes his unique and energetic live performances to studying hours of live shows from the likes of Bob Marley & Prince.
