Deko-ze's energetic and charismatic stage presence, engaging personality, strong technical skills, and original approach to programming have uniquely cultivated a huge following in both the gay and straight scenes. Seeing him perform live at larger venues is an epic event that can only truly be explained by those privy to have witnessed such an experience. Although categorized as a House DJ, he is recognized for his ability to fuse music of multiple genres (deep, funky and hard house; tribal; progressive; electro; tech-trance; techno).

DJ SHOWBOY

Originally from Toronto, Showboy's blend of speaker-humpin', booty-shakin', deep, dirty, grimy, funky, fidgety, disco-driven house has rocked the party since relocating west to Edmonton (a city notorious with club-culture-cool since the 1970s) in 2003. He regularly plays across North America, and is a Guest Resident at many Chicago, San Francisco and Toronto venues.
His Edmonton residencies have included Buddys, The Roost, Boots, Prism, New City, Play, Flash, and currently runs a successful weekly Friday event at SteamWorksYEG. He continues to play bars, clubs, special events, private & corporate parties. His headlining tours have included:
RIPPIN' UP THE DISCO (North America, 12 dates, 2010)
EXs+OH!s (North America, 52 dates, 2011-12)
EMBRACE THE STRANGE (Canada, 23 dates, 2013)
FUNK U! (USA, 19 dates, 2014)
BASSTURBATE (North America, EU, UK, 96 dates, 2015)
DISCOFILTH (North America, UK, 38 dates, 2016)
He has appeared with/opened for/written for Florence Welch, Kaskade, Deadmau5, Morgan Page, Myles Dyson, ChocolatePuma, Sarah McLachlan, Metric, Scotty Thompson, Jann Arden, Tracy Young, Deko-ze, Thunderpuss, Tony Moran, Tianna J, Kasha Kennedy and Deborah Cox, to name a few.
In 2015 he worked with famed lifestyle brand KidRobot and in 2016, a collaboration with Edmonton-based SNUG Underwear resulted in producing their runway mix for West Coast Fashion Week and a line of #SHOWBOY underwear!
In 2017 a Spring/Summer tour took him across North America for Pride and other events. His father passed away in Sep, and a Fall/Winter leg included a trek to Australia--one of his dad's cherished vacation spots--dedicated to him.
He is currently working on an itinerary for a 2018 tour, tentatively titled 40/40, in which he'd like to play 40 of his most meaningful cities at 40 years old.
He has been nominated for a 2015 Juno Award and 2 Grammy Awards in 2016, all for writing, remixing & production. He lived in England for 4 years, graduating with degrees in Business Administration and Communications.
He bides as much of his free time between Edmonton, Toronto, and Jalisco, Mexico.
