Those Nervous Animals were founded in Sligo in 1981; they enjoyed a lot of national attention into the nineties and toured widely. Some of the most memorable early Animals moments happened in Hennigans World Famous Bar in Wine Street Sligo or The Blue Lagoon, but in later years they created an epic residency in the Baggot Inn, Dublin and played a number of major gigs in venues like the SFX, The National Stadium and the RDS. Their songs such as The Business Enterprise (My Friend John), Damien and Rocket Ship recieved prolonged radio play since the time of their release; they are both a living, working band and a part of Irish rock and roll history.
