Party: SUP Club – Shooting the Breeze

There's no getting around it, there is going to be some wind about tonight – certainly enough to notice, but hopefully not too much to handle out on the Ray (forecast southerly backing south-east, although a sea breeze effect could feasibly skew it more easterly). Meeting at Two Tree slipway (SS9 2GB – see http://www.wetndrysup.com/sup-locations/two-tree-island/) at 6.15pm for a 6.30pm launch, an hour after low water, we'll paddle out into the breeze and flooding tide for maybe an hour (only strong, competent paddlers need apply) ideally all the way to Seal Point, before turning by 7.30 at the latest to ride the tide home. Conditions shouldn't be too bad, but possibly won't be too calm at first either, so don't blame us if it's tough work at times... (This is probably the last of the 'hardcore' meets before our likely return to the river for some more beginner-friendly sessions from next week.) And then to the Elms by 9pm for a pint and some value pub grub!
