Party: SUP Club – Sundown Session

So there might be a bit of an easterly or southerly breeze to begin with tonight, but it really shouldn't be too bad and will soon die off – meanwhile a nice deep (0.9m) low tide just before 6pm means we have to go coastal in preparation for this weekend's British SUP Club Championships. Meeting at Two Tree slipway (SS9 2GB – see http://www.wetndrysup.com/sup-locations/two-tree-island/) by 6.00pm for a 6.15pm launch (prompt – with a 7.20pm sunset and dusk by 8pm we can't hang around, so pease don't be late!) We're not going to strike out for Seal Point this week, but instead we'll maybe go half-way and then we're hoping to look at a little race technique; starts, efficient strokes, turns – racing step-backs, and racing reverse sweeps – possibly a bit of drafting, and maybe even running beach-starts for a bit of fun as the water's so warm. (None of this is compulsory, and actually it should be an equally good night for non-racers to hone their technique and turns as we won't be going too far.) Then home, potentially as sunset gives way to moonlight! And to make a change for dinner we're thinking The Castle in Hadleigh could be good?
